Große Baumart bis 9 m groß. Ringechaffige, rauhe und spinnennetzförmig verästelte Rinde. Blätter: Pinnate mit 5-7 Blattheften. Blüten: Weiß, fünfzählig. Frucht: Kugelförmige Birne (5-9 cm Durchmesser), hart und felsig.
